Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA Online)

The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree is for advanced career professionals. It's the most exclusive program we offer at UFred. It requires you to have proven experience in management, and it is based on leveraging that experience into a unique learning path.

When you get your EMBA online, you'll be working closely not only with your professors, who each have years of leadership experience in their field, but also with your fellow students: executives and managers from a wide range of industries and provinces.

Each course in the Executive MBA program requires you attend one virtual class (vClass) a week. vClasses take place in the evening between Monday and Thursday, at the earliest 6:00 p.m. EST, and typically last 1-2 hours.

The curriculum kicks off with a series of foundational courses, each spanning 7 weeks, that cover essential expert insights from economics, organizational strategy, and leadership theory.

After your EMBA online foundational courses are completed, you'll begin your chosen specialty stream courses. These courses involve intense group work assignments, where you'll get a chance to learn from your peers and their vast professional experience, as well as from your instructors.

You'll finish off the program by collaborating on a capstone project, where you'll integrate and apply the knowledge, skills, and critical insights learned throughout your Executive MBA studies. You have four options available for your capstone:

• The Enterprise Integration Project

• The Entrepreneurial Capstone: The Art of Innovation

• The Global Capstone

• The Global Capstone with an International Field Study.

The International Field Study (IFS) is offered as an option within the Global Capstone Project, and offers you the chance to travel internationally in order to help develop a deeper understanding of the complexity of doing business in the global economy.
